What is a DSD?

Do I need any previous scuba diving experience to do a Discover Scuba Dive?

Not at all! Discover Scuba Diving is designed especially for first-time divers. Your instructor will explain everything step by step, help you with the equipment, and stay right by your side the entire time.

Will it be hard to breathe underwater?

Surprisingly, no! Breathing through a regulator feels very natural after just a few breaths. Your instructor will have you practice above water first so you feel comfortable before going underwater.

What if I feel nervous or uncomfortable during the dive?

That’s completely normal—and okay! You’re always in control. If you feel uncomfortable, you can signal your instructor at any time, and we can stop, slow down, or return to the surface whenever you want.

Scuba Experience

It's important that you feel comfortable in deep water while wearing a mask and a snorkel. If you love the sea, then this is a perfect first step for you and your friends or family!

Requirements

Complete the required eLearning prior to dive experience.

Arrive Splash Ready Comfortable in water with a mask, snorkel, and fins.

Experience

Age~ 10 years or older

Depth~ no more than 12m/ 40ft, however we typically stay no deeper than 20ft.

Medical Requirement

Avoid disappointment and download and review the Diver Medical form to ensure you won’t need a physician’s approval before enrolling in a scuba course.
